Department is vibrant, where academic curiosity and creativity flourish, and where dedicated faculties encourage students to expand their perspectives and hone their skills of critical thinking and communication. This is the third time in continuation that UG & PG (Design) of Mechanical Department has been reaccredited by NBA for next 2 years under tier-1. The department has qualified faculty with student-faculty ratio of 15 without considering teaching assistants.

To be a centre of excellence in the field of Mechanical Engineering where quality education and research synergize.

MISSION

To transform the students and faculty of the department into highly motivated and cultured engineers, technologists, researchers and entrepreneurs who will contribute to uplift the society in collaboration with industry and academia.

Short Term Goals

  • To enhance Industry - Institute interactions
  • To start the need based PG programs like M. Tech. (Thermal Engineering)
  • To start the programs in thrust areas like Mechatronics, Nano technology etc

Long Term Goals

  • To develop a Center of Excellence in research, consultancy and Ph.D. program
  • To start the PG programs in collaboration with Foreign universities
