Sowing the CIIEDs for the better Future

 

One day workshop on “Entrepreneurship Development” in association with E-cell IIT Bombay at RIT, Rajaramnagar organized on 12th Sept.2015.

Rajarambapu Institute of Technology in collaboration with E-CELL (IIT) Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay had arranged one day workshop for budding entrepreneurs. The main speaker of the workshop was Mr. Rohit Lalwani, chairman of Talent Bridge and inculcates cooperation. The program started with the speech of Director Mrs. Sushma kulkarni telling the students about importance of entrepreneurship and looking it as a great career opportunity other than jobs. The Head of the Center for innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIIED) Prof. P.P.Deshpande also projected his ideas and concepts of the workshop to the students. He depicted that the rise of unemployment and recession demands the growth of new entrepreneurs and leaders.
                       

IIT, Bombay arranges EUREKA a business plan competition every year where more than 8000 participants present their business models. To appreciate and help the participants to execute their ideas and business models, investors and venture capitalists from all over the ASIA and Silicon Valley try to help them. So to prepare their business plans CIIED cell of R.I.T. had arranged this one day workshop ‘ILLUMINATE’ – A pre eureka workshop. The main objective of CIIED cell is to make the students to solve various problems in the society; look at the problem as they are opportunities; to sow the seeds of ideas now and reap the benefits later.

Hon. P.M Narendra Modi also has quoted “Make In India” and announced new mantra “Start up India ; Stand up India” in response to this we should come together and try to make the dream come alive this was told by Raviraj Mohite the college representative of R.I.T. for IIT, Bombay. The workshop was an inclusion of participative learning and performing group exercises would have given better exposure to the participants. Sarvesh Bajaj, Sanjay Jadhav, Jaydeep Kadam, Vrushali Desai, Anirudh Deshmukh, Ashfaq Mulla, Pranay Kotangle were the core committee from E-cell that arranged this workshop. It was anchored by Aditi Khambkar and Ajit Kenjale. The total number of participants from R.I.T. as well as other colleges exceeded 110. The feedback from the participants was positive and more students wanted to attend the workshop and were interested in participating in many such opportunities provided by CIIED cell R.I.T.

Overall it was a successful workshop which was result of hard work of CIIED E-cell. Organizing committee would like to thank RIT management and TEQIP for supporting this program by paying half of the registration fee of each and every RIT participant to encourage and motivate our budding entrepreneurs.

Establishment of product innovation & development centre. Many students have different ideas about their own product as about certain mechanism. In regular academic activity, they cannot work on it. Hence to develop their idea, basic manufacturing, faculities are made available in the centre. Any student from any branch will work here on their idea. Required material & guidance will be provided by Institute Workshop.
