Description:

            RIT Android club was started in Rajarambapu Institute of Technology, Rajaramnagar under Aakash Center of RIT in collaboration with IIT, Bombay. This club was started in 2016 by students of Information Technology Department. The objectives of this club are to create awareness about the modern Mobile App Development Technology i.e. Android among students and provide traning on Android so that they can use Android Technology to solve problems. As per the Gartner Survey Q2 2018, Already Android occupies around 80% market shares in the world. Therefore, there is a huge scope in mobile application development using Android Technology. However, there is a need of development/improvement in different field of Android namely Android security, social problems, etc.

Objectives:

• To create awareness about android technology among students.
• To solve social problems using Android Technology
• To learn and gain detailed knowledge about android and other new technologies required for mobile application development
• To share knowledge with students and faculties

Achievements:

• Total 35 Android app are developed and deployed on Google Play store.
• Reached more than 60000 downloads for all apps.
• Faculty Advisor Mr. Ravindra J. Mandale received invitation from Google, MountainView, US for Google IO 2018 to became part of Google developer ecosystem and doing Android publicity
• Total 16 students (Developers of Android app) won 500 Rs. Google play balance as a Gift from Google (Rs. 8000/- Total)

Official app for Android Club:

This RIT Android club application was developed for beginners in android application development. This application also provides facility for becoming member of RIT’s Android Club member by registering to it so that registered members will get notifications about free workshops, guest lectures, seminars from students and as well as faculties. Acitivity Year 2019-20

App-A-Thon 3.0

Department of Computer Science & Information Technology, Rajarambapu Institute of Technology, Rajaramnagar had organized State Level Android App Development competition and exhibition "App-A-Thon 3.0" on Saturday, 14^th September 2019 under Lead College Scheme, Shivaji University and UNNAT in Association with Aakash Center, RIT. The Guest for this event was Mr. Santosh Patange (Alumni, 2015), Co-founder of App Vishwa Pvt. Ltd. Islampur and Mr. Sagar Pawar(Alumni, 2015), Software Developer, TIAA, Pune. Also they were external judges for the competition. This event consists of two parts: Android app development competition and exhibition. The objective of this event was to motivate students to solve social problems using mobile app development technologies. The different themes were provided to the students such as: environmental, education, social, games, tools etc. The students from KIT(Kolhapur), Walchand College of Engg. (Sangli), T.K.I.E.T(Warananagar), VPKBIET, Baramati, K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering- Vidyavihar, Dnyanshree Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sajjangad- Satara, Government College of Engg.(Karad) were participated in the competition and exhibition.  The event was graced by Dr. Mrs. S. S. Kulkarni (Director, RIT), Dr. A. C. Adamuthe (HOD,IT), Mr. Ravindra J. Mandale (Faculty advisor, RIT Android Club) and faculties of  CSIT department and students of RIT.

App- A-Thon 2.0

Department of IT, Rajarambapu Institute of Technology, Rajaramnagar had organized State Level Android App Development competition "App-A-Thon 2.0" on 8^th September 2018 under Infotsav 3.0 and UNNAT . The judge for this competition was Mr. Sourabh Thoke ??(Alumni, 2015), Incedo Pvt. Ltd. Pune. This competition consists of two parts: solution submission and app demonstration. The objective of this event was to motivate students to solve social problems using mobile app development technologies. The different themes were provided to the students such as: environmental, education, social, games, tools etc. The student from Walchand College of Engg.(Sangli), Annasaheb Dange College of Engg.(Ashta), KBP College of Engg. Satara, SGGS College of Engg.  Nanded, Atharva college of engineering Thane, Datta Meghe college of engg, Kalyan, RIT Rajaramnagar were participated in the competition.  The event was graced by Dr. A. C. Adamuthe (HOD,IT), Mr. D.T. Mane (Faculty advisor, Infotsav 3.0) and faculties of  IT department and students of RIT.  The following three prizes were given as: i) 3000/- ii) 2000/-  iii)1000/- with winner certificates.

The different themes were provided to the students such as: environmental, education, social, games, tools etc. The student from VIT(Pune), Walchand College of Engg.(Sangli), Annasaheb Dange College of Engg.(Ashta), Government Polytechnic,(Tasgaon), Nanasaheb Mahadik College of Engg.(Peth), Government College of Engg.(Karad) were participated in the competition and exhibition.  The event was graced by Dr. S. M. Sawant (Dean, Student Development, RIT), Prof. S. N. Kumbhar (Coordinator, UNNAT), Dr. A. C. Adamuthe (HOD, IT), Mr. Ravindra J. Mandale (Faculty advisor, RIT Android Club) and faculties of  IT department and students of RIT.  The following three prizes were given as: i) 3000/- ii) 2000/-  iii) 1000/- . Also winner certificates were provided.

Inauguration 2017:

            The Inauguration of Android club 2017 conducted on 13^th January 2017 in the presence of Guest Mr. Santosh Patange, Founder of AppVishwa Pvt. Ltd. Islampur. Mr. Santosh Patange is a young entrepreneur and 2014 batch alumni of RIT. The inauguration was followed by launching new Official app for Android club and guest lecture.

Achievements of guest:

• Over 25 android applications published on Google play store in different categories.
• Currently over 50,000 Teachers from Maharashtra using our 8 educational android applications on a daily basis with an average one hour daily engagement.
• Three other apps were listed First in Top Free Trending List of Google Play Store.
• “Palkhi” App developed for Collector Office Pune was appreciated by Hon. Chief Minister Mr. Devendra Fadanvis and this was tweeted from his official Twitter account.

Guest lecture:

The guest lecture was based on the new innovations and his own experience as an entrepreneur. Sir gave us information about the new technologies and how to start with an entrepreneur. Also Sir encouraged us to be an entrepreneur by starting with your idea.

Inauguration 2016:

            In 2016 android club was founded by the students of Information Technology department with the great support of faculties. The goal is to learn and implement the new technology in Android platform. There are around 138 students are registered for this android club 2016. Also around 25 applications are developed under this club, those are freely available on www.itritindia.in with source code and description.
