The landscape of management teaching has changed drastically in the last few years and all the more in view of the uncertainties in the business environment and the technological advancements. This has led to an additional responsibility on B-schools to develop managers who are not only academically strong, but are innovative, sensitive towards global concerns, and socially responsible. For this the institutes must impart relevant skills in them. We at Department of Management Studies, RIT through our innovative and industry relevant curricula and experiential pedagogy are responding to this call. Our department is committed to provide need based Research, training and consultancy services to industries, using the advanced research tools available in our research lab. This also helps in developing our industry connect, indirectly helping us to prepare industry ready managers by offering internships in these companies.
Application of theory learnt is a challenging task of management teaching and learning, hence our department take up live projects from global research agencies with full involvement of our students. For developing functional skills, DMS, RIT is offering additional programs such as Post-graduate Diploma in Labor laws (PGDLL), Industry recognized advanced certificate courses like Microsoft Office Specialist , NISM and many more. We have developed Centre of Excellence in Analytics and Finance and risk management which enhances the process of learning, unlearning and relearning things and prepare lifelong learners.
