Quality Circle

Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI) is recognized as the institution representing the Quality Circle Movement in India and has represented the country in several international forums. The organization has successfully implemented Quality concepts under the TQM umbrella across several industry verticals that have experienced a phenomenal enhancement of their work Processes and productivity after implementation of Quality Concept Tools. QCFI represents India in the 14 nation International Committee that has been set up for organizing International conventions on Quality Concept Circle, annually. To date, QCFI has organized three International conventions in India. In addition, chapter convention and National convention are held every year where members present case studies and technical papers are discussed by leading Quality Concept Practitioners. To strengthen academic process, RIT being an institutional member of the ‘Quality Circle Forum of India’ is known for its innovative ideas for quality circle activities in educational institute. Quality circles in RIT have fetched many prizes in state and national level competitions organized by QCFI, India.

Academic Year 2022-23

Quality Circle Topic:  Development of Virtual Laboratory for Computer Networks Lab Course.

Received Excellent Award at National Convention on Quality Concepts held at Aurangabad in December 2022.
Published a paper entitled “Effective Conduction of Laboratory Courses in Online Learning using Virtual Lab”, in Journal of Engineering Education Transformations (JEET) 2023.

Quality Circle Topic: To identify the reasons for less number of research activities and implementing the strategies to strengthen research culture among faculties and students.

2*: Quality Circle Topic: Improved Framework with the adoption of Industry Practices for Undergraduate Software Capstone Project development.

We introduce a new methodology for academic projects, which improves the overall quality of project work. Adoption of a new Industry Oriented Software Engineering practices make the students industry-ready with knowledge of the latest tools, the technology used by IT industries for product development. The proposed work is able to bridge the gap between academics and industry to a greater extent, subsequently increases the employability ratio.

Quality Circle Topic: To make the lab automate with the help of IoT concepts. This project  helps to reduce the cost and electricity consumption which actually are much high.
