All UG and PG programs are accredited/re-accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi. The department is recognized as a Ph.D. research center by Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Currently, more than 36 research scholars are pursuing doctoral studies, and seven candidates have been awarded Ph.D. degrees. From the academic year 2024–25, AICTE has granted approval to initiate collaboration and twinning programs for UG Civil Engineering and PG Structural Engineering, as well as a working professional program. The department is recipient of grants from various organisation such as AICTE, (DST, MODROB, RPS, RGSTC etc.) and Shivaji University, Kolhapur and this has help us to modernize the laboratories.
The department has adopted a student-centric teaching–learning methodology through Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and has implemented the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) curriculum in line with NEP 2020 guidelines to promote flexibility and educational liberalization within conventional higher education framework. The curriculum is designed in accordance with AICTE guidelines and aligned with current industry requirements to ensure students acquire essential professional skills.
