Recent Initiative: STAAD.Pro Certification Program

From 16th to 21st February 2026, the Department of Civil Engineering hosted a 5-Day Certification Program on "Structural Design & Analysis using STAAD.Pro" under the Bentley Civil Infrastructure Centre of Excellence, in collaboration with IFS Academy, Pune.

Program Highlights:

  • Objective: To equip B.Tech and M.Tech students, along with faculty, with industry-standard skills in Finite Element Analysis and structural modeling.

  • Hybrid Training: A 50-hour comprehensive module featuring hands-on offline sessions at RIT and expert-led live online classes.

  • Rigorous Assessment: To earn the globally recognized Bentley Institute Certificate of Accomplishment, participants were required to successfully complete complex practice assignments and a final project involving the complete RCC design and analysis of a building.

  • Outcome: The initiative successfully bridged the industry-academia gap, enhancing the participants' employability and practical readiness for real-world structural engineering challenges
