Department of Information Technology celebrated Engineer’s Day on Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya's birth anniversary. Visvesvaraya is regarded in India as one of the foremost civil engineers whose birthday, 15 September, is celebrated every year as Engineer's Day in India, Sri Lanka, and Tanzania. He is also often regarded as "the maker of modern Mysore". The department organized an industry-expert session with Mr. Pratap Patil, the Founder, & CEO of Walstar Technologies Pvt. on this day. Ltd., Kolhapur and Chairman of Kolhapur IT Association, Kolhapur.
