E-Cell for Students
Entrepreneurship Development Cell RIT (E-Cell RIT), is a core branch of Student Activity Cell (SAC) of CIIED RIT. Ecell is Inaugurated on 14th Feb 2019 with the vision - "To develop an ecosystem that will nurture the development of the Entrepreneurial mindset of the RIT community; which will be able to solve the problems profitably.“
Missions:
- To provide efficient interaction between its major components spanning students, working professionals, aspiring and existing entrepreneurs, mentors, angel investors, venture capital firms and corporate through initiatives like interactive sessions.
- To provide basic resources required for an Enterprise
- To help the E-cell community identify, solve and deliver solutions profitably, with an entrepreneurial attitude.
- To provide the necessary training programs for the E-Cell community.
- To provide an efficient channel of communication between the E-Cell community and external institutions.
Objectives:
- Work on R&D for Industry mainly for local small and medium enterprises.
- Address local problems & find innovative and viable solutions.
- TPromote culture of IPR, Technology Transfer & Commercialisation.
- Nurture and promote creative ideas for its conversion into successful products & Technologies.
- Interfacing and networking between Academic, R&D institutions, Industries, and Financial Institutions.
- Create new techno-start ups
Our Achievements:
- The National Entrepreneurship Challenge 2021:
E-Cell RIT participated in the National Entrepreneurship Challenge (NEC), organized by E-Cell IIT Bombay in the year 2020-21. NEC is a six month long competition, more than 650+ colleges participated in this competition across India. The E-Cell RIT secured 1st Rank at the National Entrepreneurship Challenge 2021.
- Entrepreneur of the Week (EOTW):
E-Cell RIT conducts regular activities focussed on overall personality development. The E-Cell organizes many entrepreneurial sessions, events, competitions, and workshops. Entrepreneur of the Week (EOTW) is our flagship event where we invite entrepreneurs, business persons, and prominent personalities to share their experiences and help students develop an entrepreneurial mindset. We have invited many entrepreneurs to EOTW. One of them was Mr. Pankaj Dubey, MD/CEO Power Global India, Founder & CEO DSPIN Consulting. Mr. Pankaj Dubey is also a TEDx speaker and a well-established name in the Indian automobile industry having contributed significantly to Yamaha, Hero and Polaris.

Opportunities in Edu. tech Sector
Mr. Prasanna Joshi, Founder of Shikuya Pvt. Ltd
Mr. Prasanna Joshi, told us about his journey along with the ups and downs that happened in his life and gave a brief perspective of how to overcome the problems with a positive approach. The Q&A session started after their journey which is about 30 minutes. Different types of questions were asked by the students and they give the best answers to all. In the session Prasanna sir gave an offer for internships in their startup Shikuya as a content writer, bug remover, etc. The session EOTM was arranged as an open-for-all students.
Competition: Triathlon 3.0
Triathlon 3.0 was next successive edition of our previous two edition. For this triathlon we were arrange good competitive and thinkable case study. This case study is based on one movie and web-series streaming platform which is actually at struggling phase. For this competition nearly 30 students were participating and do very well. Triathlon competition was giving your idea about how future map rod for any organization can made so it will be succussed in define timeline.
Startup interaction: Bubble byte
Bubble byte
Bubble byte Pvt. Ltd. is startup founded by Mr. Amankhan Pathan. Who is alumni of RIT as well. Bubble byte venture is providing modern technical solution and they are mainly specialized in Microsoft office tools and video editing software as well. As now going with the time they had actually face various problems so during this interaction he share about all these experiences and how he found solution for that as well. Also because of this interaction we very well know how actually any startup work, competition faced during service-based startup.
Guest Session
Mr. Rajat Waragade
Mr. Rajat Waragade is founder of E-Cell RIT. During his tenure he set the value of ‘If someone is working for your dream then it’s your responsibility to work for their’ and still E-cell RIT work in this principle. Also, he was founder of one of startup Intellitec brain which was shutdown due to some reason. So, during this interaction he talk about all the up and downs, and also about actually E-cell RIT’s journey start. During this interaction new recruited member know about the journey of E-cell.
Entrepreneurship Visit: E-Summit 2023
Place: IIT Bombay, Powai
E-Summit is a unique student initiative that facilitates the interaction between students, industry experts, business leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs who share the common zeal to stand out of the league. This E-summit conducted for 2 days i.e., 28 and 29 Jan. This visit add various values in our entrepreneurial journey from where we actually fail, how to deal with all of this, and what are the new technology develop in this startup market and many more like that. Also arranging this visit is like very fresh to all of us.
